If you want to love your dog and to be loved in return, you need to create structure in their lives.  There are certain things that ALL dogs need in order to be happy and well adjusted.  I don't want to waste your time, so lets get into it! Do you love your dog? I definitely do. Can you love your dog more? I didn't think the answer to this would be yes, but, at least for me, it was.
